DNC Web o’ Power
The New Mexico Delegation to the Democratic National Convention isn’t just a herd of insider donkeys running laps around the average voter populace. No, thanks to Obama, the process has opened wide and our crew heading to Denver is a diverse bunch, ranging from US Congressmen to beginner activists.
But that’s not to say that the political connections, mapped out, don’t create a complicated web of influence. In fact, that’s what we did: we mapped the whole thing out: connections, relationships, obligations.
There are three versions you can use: print (I’ll link it when it’s up), interactive Web and, for the obsessive wonks, a downloadable version that you can add to yourself.
Of course, it’s not exhaustive (you have no friggin’ clue how complicated the New Mexico political scene is until you start diggin’)…so, over the next few days, we’ll be updating the chart.
If you’ve got suggestions for further links, comments about inaccuracies or you just want to give us props, send me an e-mail ( davem @ sfreporter.com ) with “Web of Power” in the subject line.
