Democracy for New Mexico Part of DNC State Blogger Corps
Howard Dean, the DNC Chairman, announced today which blogs have been chosen as part of the "state blogger corps" for the National Convention in August in Denver. According to the DNC press release, more than 400 applied. Those chosen will be seated with their delegations, have mad access to delegates (that’s a paraphrase) and have portions of their blogs featured on the Convention Web site.
And the winner from New Mexico is… Democracy for New Mexico, written and managed by Barbara Wold. SFR e-mailed Democracy to get their response on being selected. The response? Predictable excitement:
"I’m incredibly excited about being chosen to represent New Mexico’s bloggers on the floor of the Dem Convention in Denver and hope I can do the job real justice in the midst of all the drama that may emerge this year. One blogger from each state will get full floor credentials and be seated with their delegation for entire event, which is unprecedented. It’s a big honor to be selected and who knows what I’ll be witnessing first-hand considering this year’s race for the Dem nomination. Floor fight? Who knows…"
Who knows indeed! Never fear local bloggers. If you weren’t selected for the corps, you are still eligible for the general blogger pool.
To find out more about that, or to see all the blogs chosen from around the country, go to the Convention Web site.

As a blogger how lost out, I want to reveal something about Barb that will disqualify her and let me go in her place… unfortunately, I don’t have anything.
Congratulations, Barb.
Also, as a note, the deadline for registration was April 15, so if you hadn’t registered by then, you won’t be eligible for the general blogger pool.
