Blockgate: Jerome Jr. responds to fine.
Jerome Jr has responded to the Secretary of State’s $11,000 fine claiming that he just didn’t understand. Read the letter yourself.
Block attaches several documents, including an invoice from Wyld Country that specifices that a performance would take place between 1pm and 6pm, with no date indicated.
He’s also attached the check he wrote to Paul Maez, in which not only is Maez’ name initially spelled incorrectly, but so is the band’s name, Wyld Country. This check was cut by Jacob Martinez, Block’s treasurer, who has still yet to file a proper, verifiable address with the Secretary of State’s office.
But where is the evidence of when the money was returned? That’s key as the Journal points out.
More analysis tomorrow.
