Santa Fe Mayor David Coss stood before a swarm of journalists (SFR Editor Julia Goldberg and SFR staff writer Dave Maass…and SFR Editor Julia Golberg and SFR staff writer Dave Maass - that constitutes a swarm, right? ) in front of City Hall this afternoon to talk about the economy and the bailout that Congress passed hours earlier.

Coss patted the city on the back for pushing for economic growth with a pathetically inadequate amount of help from the federal government. He called out for “green collar” jobs and extolled the virtues of Barack Obama’s economic policy, as presented to the US Conference of Mayors by O himself this year. Other than that, we’ll let Coss speak for himself (or to embellish on Gov. Sarah Palin, we’ll let him talk to directly to the voters, instead of through us dosh-garnit media-elite Joe Double-lattes).
